Texas clawed back in the fifth inning as Adolis Garcia’s sacrifice fly scored Marcus Semien, followed by a triple from Nimmo that plated Nathaniel Lowe, narrowing the gap to 2-4. The Astros regained momentum in the seventh when Yordan Lopez singled to center, scoring two runs to tie the game at 4-4. The Rangers tied it again in the eighth inning when Josh Smith homered to left, his 12th of the year, followed immediately by a solo home run from Higashioka to left field, tying the score at 5-5.
