The Dallas Cowboys have restructured the contracts of players Jake Ferguson, DaRon Bland, and Kenny Clark to increase their financial flexibility ahead of the 2026 NFL season.
This move is part of a series of contract adjustments made by the Cowboys during the offseason to create additional cap room. Notable players such as Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, Tyler Smith, Terence Steele, and Malik Hooker have also had their contracts restructured or reworked.
Bland and Ferguson both secured contract extensions that will keep them with the Cowboys through 2025. Bland's new deal is a four-year contract worth $92 million, extending his stay in Dallas until 2030. Ferguson's contract is also a four-year extension, valued at $52 million, which similarly ensures his position with the team through 2030.
Kenny Clark has had his contract restructured for the second time this offseason, with his current agreement ensuring he remains with the Cowboys through the 2028 season.
The restructuring provides the Cowboys with more options in terms of personnel, should they decide to pursue additional players. Team owner Jerry Jones has indicated a cautious approach, stating he is not actively seeking high-priced players but remains open to opportunities that could enhance the team.
"I'm even more excited today than I was when we started camp that our team is going to be one that if we can have some things go right for us, avoid some injury, we could really be something that we all want to be, and that's a team that's competing for the big game," Jones said during training camp in Oxnard, California.
