Two individuals were shot and taken to a hospital following an altercation in the Cedar Crest neighborhood of Dallas on Sunday morning. The incident occurred in the 3500 block of East Overton Road, where authorities responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 11:20 a.m.
According to the Dallas Police Department, preliminary inquiries indicate that the violence stemmed from a disturbance between two people who were familiar with one another. Both participants sustained gunshot wounds during the exchange.
Emergency medical personnel transported both victims to a nearby medical facility. Hospital officials stated that both individuals are expected to survive their injuries.
