State officials have identified Alejandro Villegas as the featured fugitive for July on the Texas 10 Most Wanted sex offenders list. The reward for tips leading to his arrest has been raised to $6,000 for information received during the current month. Villegas, 32, has been at large since January 2026 regarding a probation violation tied to an original sexual assault of a child charge. A second warrant was issued by the Fort Worth Police Department in March 2026 for his failure to comply with sex offender registration rules.

Villegas is described as standing 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 185 pounds. He maintains connections to Fort Worth, Arlington, and Dallas. Fort Worth is located about 31 miles west of Dallas. His criminal history includes a 2017 arrest by Arlington police for robbery, which resulted in 36 months of probation. In 2022, Grand Prairie police arrested him for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl. He was subsequently convicted and sentenced to 96 months of probation.

The Texas Crime Stoppers program, funded by the Governor’s Public Safety Office, provides cash rewards for tips that result in the arrest of fugitives featured on these lists. Data from the Department of Public Safety indicates that 44 fugitives have been apprehended so far in 2026. This total includes 32 sex offenders and eight gang members. Authorities have distributed $61,500 in rewards this year.

Individuals with information are encouraged to contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS or submit a web tip through the DPS website. Tips can also be submitted via Facebook by clicking the submit link in the About section. All submissions remain anonymous, and callers are assigned a tip number rather than providing their names. DPS investigators collaborate with local agencies to select fugitives for the lists, which are published with photographs on the DPS website.
