Sazon De Loa, a Mexican restaurant situated on Renner Road in Plano, has seen a significant influx of customers after a social media video posted by the owner’s 15-year-old daughter went viral. The establishment, which specializes in authentic cuisine prepared by chef and owner Rafael De Loa, was nearly forced to close just last month due to insufficient business. The sudden turnaround began when Leslie De Loa shared a plea for support on TikTok, asking followers to visit the family business.

Leslie De Loa’s video highlighted the struggles of the small business and emphasized her father’s dedication. She noted that despite their efforts, they were not attracting enough patrons. The message resonated with viewers, particularly after it was shared by TikToker Bucky Wild Child, who has more than 110,000 followers. Bucky Wild Child had visited the Renner Road location earlier in the week and helped amplify the post, leading to a wave of new customers.

Patrons have begun traveling from various distances to support the restaurant. Customer Jhazmin Martinez stated she decided to visit after seeing the video, noting that her group had been looking for a date night spot. Fellow customer Jesus Martinez praised the food as delicious. The surge in popularity has resulted in long lines, with some guests waiting over an hour. Despite the wait, customers like Diego Osorio and C.J. Nelson expressed that they were willing to wait for the quality of the meal.

Rafael De Loa described the situation as a miracle, noting that the restaurant had been open for nearly two years without seeing such high levels of business. He explained that the previous lack of customers made it difficult to retain staff, as there were no tips to offer. Now, he is working extended hours to manage the increased demand. The owner expressed gratitude for the community’s support but acknowledged the physical toll of the sudden success.

With the restaurant now fully booked, Rafael De Loa faces a new challenge: staffing. He has announced that Sazon De Loa is currently hiring to handle the increased volume of diners. The family remains hopeful that the community’s continued support will sustain the business moving forward. Plano is located approximately 18 miles north of Dallas.

Details regarding the long-term financial impact or specific hiring targets were not provided.
