As fall camp progresses, Baylor University has outlined its projected offensive starters ahead of the upcoming football season. With the first game approaching, the team is finalizing its lineup, which has remained largely consistent over the past couple of weeks.

DJ Lagway is set to take the helm as the starting quarterback. Coaches have praised Lagway's performance since his arrival in Waco, where he has expressed a strong sense of belonging and comfort within the offensive system designed by coordinator Jake Spavital. His skills are expected to enhance the team's offensive capabilities significantly this season.

Dawson Pendergrass is anticipated to be the starting running back following Bryson Washington's transfer. Pendergrass, who missed the previous season, had previously shown promise with over 670 rushing yards and six touchdowns during his first two years. His physical running style and ability to catch passes make him a valuable asset in the backfield.

The receiving corps will feature Louis Brown IV as the primary wide receiver, who is expected to excel in deep routes. Brown previously played for Colorado State and San Diego State, accumulating over 1,100 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in his sophomore season. Joining him will be Dre'lon Miller, who brings experience from Colorado, where he recorded 52 receptions for over 435 yards.

In the slot position, Gavin Freeman, a transfer from Oklahoma State, is projected to make an impact with his speed and agility, particularly on short routes and potential return plays. The tight end position will be filled by Tony Livingston, who comes to Baylor after two years at Florida, bringing experience as both a blocker and a pass catcher.

The offensive line will include Logan Moore at left tackle, Nate Kibble at left guard, Koltin Sieracki at center, Asher Hale at right guard, and a yet-to-be-determined right tackle. Moore, a junior transfer from UAB, is expected to provide solid protection for Lagway, while Kibble, a sophomore from Texas, aims to develop into a key player on the line.

Sieracki, a returning junior, will take over the center position after the denial of Yakiri Walker's eligibility.

Further details regarding the right tackle position are not yet clear, as the coaching staff continues to finalize the lineup. Baylor's offensive strategy appears poised to leverage the talents of its new and returning players as the season approaches.
