The Houston Texans have officially signed cornerback Bryce Hall as they prepare for their upcoming preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders. This move comes as the team faces several injuries in their secondary, which had already struggled with health issues last season.

Hall, 28, was previously with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and has connections to the Texans through teammates Logan Hall and Owen Wright. He was a fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and spent four seasons with the New York Jets before joining Tampa Bay. The Texans announced Hall's signing on X on August 17, shortly after he completed a workout with the team.

In his career, Hall has played in 40 games, starting 26 of them. He has recorded 122 total tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery, one defensive touchdown, and 0.5 sacks. Standing at 6-foot-1, he brings size and versatility to the cornerback position, as well as experience on special teams, an area where the Texans are currently seeking improvement.

The Texans have been dealing with multiple player injuries, including Tank Dell, Jaylin Noel, and Ja'Marcus Ingram, which may impact their special teams unit. The absence of these players is significant, as they are expected to contribute in various roles this season. Further updates on the team's roster and injuries are anticipated as the preseason progresses.
