Davis was selected by the Cardinals in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, being the 226th overall pick. His workout video was shared following his injury update, indicating his readiness to return to play.
The Texans are facing challenges with injuries in their cornerback lineup this season, a situation they also encountered in 2025. Davis may provide the necessary support in this critical area. The Athletic's Dane Brugler previously noted Davis as one of the notable prospects in his 2024 draft guide.
NFL draft analyst Lance Zierlein described Davis as a nickel cornerback with good foot speed and agility but noted a lack of ball production that is often expected from players with his skill set.
