Prism Health North Texas is organizing a complimentary back-to-school event for families on Aug. 8, beginning at 9 a.m. The gathering will take place at the organization’s Oak Cliff Health Center, situated at 219 Sunset Ave., Ste. 116-A.
Attendees can receive free sports physicals and dental screenings. The clinic will also help families schedule vaccine or general primary care appointments. Children attending the event are eligible for free haircuts.
Students will receive a free backpack containing school supplies while inventory lasts. Families interested in securing a backpack can register in advance at phntx.org/backtoschool.
Leslie Redden, a pediatric care provider at Prism Health North Texas, stated in a news release that the organization wants families to feel comfortable asking questions and knowing they have a trusted place to turn for care throughout the year.
The event will include entertainment, food, music, and family-friendly activities. The nonprofit healthcare provider serves patients of all ages.
