A helicopter pilot was hospitalized with minor injuries following an accident in Parker County on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred near the community of Springtown, which is located approximately 31 miles east of Fort Worth.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the aircraft touched down at a private airstrip situated near the 200 block of McVoid Road. While the helicopter was being moved to a new position to refuel, one of its rotor blades collided with a tree, causing the damage that led to the pilot's injuries.

Emergency responders transported the pilot to a local medical facility for treatment. The severity of the injuries was described as minor, and no other individuals were reported to be harmed in the crash.

State officials have not yet released further information regarding the specific cause of the collision or the condition of the aircraft beyond the blade damage. Requests for additional details from the Texas Department of Public Safety did not receive an immediate response as of Friday evening.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing. Authorities have not yet determined if mechanical failure or pilot error contributed to the blade striking the tree. No timeline for the release of a full incident report has been established.
