Texas Health Mansfield Stadium has officially opened its doors to the public, marking a significant addition to the city's sports landscape. The $88 million facility, which can accommodate 7,000 spectators, opened on July 1, 2026, and is set to host its inaugural event—a match featuring the North Texas Soccer Club—on July 4.

Located in Mansfield, the stadium is a key part of a larger multibillion-dollar development aimed at enhancing the local entertainment district, which is valued at $2.5 billion. City officials, including Mayor Michael Evans, are optimistic that the stadium will not only elevate interest in soccer but also stimulate economic growth in the area, particularly during the ongoing FIFA World Cup events taking place in Arlington, which is nearby.

The stadium features numerous amenities, including four locker rooms, 10 suites, and 16 loge boxes, as well as a club area that can host up to 200 guests. It boasts a natural grass playing surface, designed to meet the needs of various sports events.

Prior to its public opening, the venue served as the practice facility for the Czech national soccer team during the FIFA World Cup. Moving forward, the North Texas Soccer Club, which competes in the third tier of American soccer as the affiliate of Major League Soccer's FC Dallas, will hold all of its home matches at this new stadium. Notably, Ricardo Pepi, a former player for North Texas SC, is now a member of the United States men's national team, which recently advanced to the round of 16 in the World Cup.

The opening of Texas Health Mansfield Stadium is seen as a pivotal moment for Mansfield, with hopes that it will become a central hub for soccer in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Further details about upcoming events and community engagement initiatives are not yet clear.
