Construction has officially begun on the Rosamond Town Center in Anna, Texas, a project spearheaded by Big V Property Group and The Seitz Group, alongside Principal Asset Management and Citizens Bank. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on June 30, 2026, with local officials in attendance to mark the occasion.

Rosamond Town Center will complement the nearby Rosamond Crossing and is part of a larger 750,000-square-foot development in Collin County. The financing for this project includes a mix of developer equity, funding from Principal Asset Management, and a construction loan from Citizens Bank. The center is expected to play a significant role in the region's growth, as Anna's population is projected to increase at a rate 13 times faster than the national average over the next decade.

Kenton McKeehan, President and Chief Investment Officer of Big V Property Group, expressed pride in contributing to Anna's development, stating that the project extends the Metroplex by nine miles. The open-air center will span 355,826 square feet and will feature major retailers such as Academy Sports + Outdoors, Aldi, Burlington, EOS Fitness, Hobby Lobby, HomeGoods, PetSmart, and T.J. Maxx, along with various specialty stores and outparcels.

Danielle Kaufman, representing The Seitz Group, highlighted the importance of collaboration in successful developments, acknowledging the support from the City of Anna. Mayor Pete Cain called the project a transformative milestone for the city, anticipating the creation of 750 jobs and a boost to the local retail and tax base.

Texas Representative Keresa Richardson remarked on the significance of the development in the context of Texas's growth, celebrating it as a fitting tribute to America’s upcoming 250th anniversary. The development team received a Congressional Commendation from U.S. Rep. Keith Self, presented by District Director Michelle Bishop, who emphasized the successful partnership between public and private sectors in driving Anna's progress.

Big V Property Group operates several properties across Texas, including notable shopping centers in cities such as San Antonio, Euless, Humble, Cypress, and Austin. The company is recognized as a leader in retail real estate in the region.
