Murakami Delivers Offensive Surge

Gunnar Henderson scored eight runs as the Chicago White Sox defeated the Houston Astros 12-3 on Sunday at Rate Field. Murakami delivered the decisive blow with two home runs and six RBIs, anchoring a White Sox offense that overwhelmed Houston pitching throughout the afternoon.

Early Power Sets Tone

The White Sox jumped out to an early lead in the first inning. Peña homered to left, a 393-foot shot that gave Chicago a 1-0 advantage. Murakami immediately followed with a two-run blast to left, measuring 385 feet, which put the White Sox ahead 1-2.
