Baldwin Powers Offensive Surge
Baldwin provided the primary spark for the Atlanta Braves, delivering a three-run home run and adding another run via a single in a dominant 15-1 victory over the Texas Rangers on Friday. The Braves overwhelmed their visitors at Truist Park, accumulating 15 runs while holding Texas to just one run.
Chris Sale earned the win for Atlanta, pitching seven scoreless innings, while Cal Quantrill took the loss for the Rangers after allowing six earned runs.
Early Runs Set the Tone
The Braves struck first in the second inning. Baldwin singled to left field, allowing Smith to score and moving to third. Albies followed with a single to right, driving in Riley and leaving Baldwin on second base.
The scoring increased in the fourth inning when Baldwin launched a 419-foot home run to center field, bringing in Jarvis and Hicklen. Olson added to the lead with a 420-foot home run to right.
