The City of Dallas has announced that various municipal departments and facilities will close on Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day. All City offices will be closed for the holiday, with normal business operations resuming on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
Sanitation services will continue as scheduled. All collections, including recycling, garbage, and brush or bulky item collection, will proceed normally. The McCommas Bluff Landfill and transfer stations will also remain open during regular hours for residential self-service disposal. The 3-1-1 Customer Help Line will remain available for service-related calls, such as water main breaks, downed trees, signal light issues, and animal control matters.
Water Customer Service will be closed, but customers can submit requests online or via the Dallas 311 mobile app.
