Baylor University has unveiled its first depth chart for the 2026 football season in anticipation of the opening game against Auburn. The depth chart highlights the team's lineup for both offense and defense as they prepare for the upcoming matchup.
On the offensive side, DJ Lagway is listed as the starting quarterback, with Nate Bennett, Edward Griffin, and Quinn Murphy as potential backups. Dawson Pendergrass will start as running back, supported by Caden Knighten, Michael Turner, Ryelan Morris, and Jacorey Watson.
The wide receiver positions feature Louis Brown IV and either Dre'lon Miller or Jadon Porter. Gavin Freeman is set to start at slot wide receiver, with Jayden McGowan as a backup. Matthew Klopfenstein is the starting tight end, backed by Tony Livingston and Hawkins Polley among others.
The offensive line includes Logan Moore at left tackle, Nate Kibble at left guard, Koltin Sieracki at center, Asher Hale at right guard, and Kaden Sieracki at right tackle, with various backups listed for each position.
Defensively, the Bears will have Kyler Jordan or Jordan Mack at defensive end, and Devonte Tezino or Kamren Washington at defensive tackle. Hosea Wheeler or Jamaal Whyce Jr. will start at nose tackle, while Ryan Davis or Garrick Ponder will fill the JACK position.
