The Houston Texans have announced the signing of tight end Louis Hansen to their roster. This marks Hansen's second time with the team, having initially signed in June before being waived in late July.
No corresponding roster move was necessary to accommodate Hansen's return.
Hansen, who went undrafted in April, previously played two years at the University of Michigan and three years at the University of Connecticut. Over the course of 40 college games, he recorded 46 receptions for 463 yards and scored four touchdowns.
Currently, the Texans' tight end lineup also includes Dalton Schultz, Foster Moreau, second-round draft pick Marlin Klein, Cade Stover, Brevin Jordan, and Layne Pryor.
