Ryan Flournoy is not expected to participate in the Dallas Cowboys' preseason opener against the Seattle Seahawks. According to Nick Harris from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Flournoy will not be suited up for the game.
Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer indicated earlier this month that he plans for the team's starters to sit out the entire preseason. Despite not playing in the opener, Flournoy is anticipated to have ample chances to develop his connection with quarterback Dak Prescott during training camp practices.
Flournoy is positioned as the Cowboys' No. 3 receiver, although his playing time may be limited due to the presence of star wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. Further details regarding his role in the upcoming season are not yet clear.
