The Baylor Bears football team is facing considerable uncertainty regarding its offensive line as the new season approaches. With only one full-time starter returning, Kaden Sieracki at right tackle, the Bears are navigating a reshuffled lineup.

The team had initially expected Memphis transfer Yakiri Walker to play center, but he is no longer with the team after his injunction was denied and has transitioned to a coaching role. This development has prompted further adjustments within the offensive line.

Offensive line coach Austin Woods has indicated that Koltin Sieracki, who was previously expected to play guard, is now stepping into the center position. Sieracki has been taking numerous snaps at center during practice and is poised to start in the upcoming game against Auburn.

Woods remarked on Sieracki's leadership and performance, noting, "He stepped up and he's done a great job of leading and communicating and playing some really high level football right now."

Koltin Sieracki expressed a preference for the center position, stating, "I think it's more of a natural position for me. I just feel like it's a space that I fit in." He highlighted his enjoyment of engaging in double teams alongside teammates Nate Kibble and Asher Hale, who have been practicing at guard.

In addition to Sieracki's shift, Texas transfer Nate Kibble and South Alabama transfer Asher Hale have been working alongside him at the guard position. UAB transfer Logan Moore has been playing left tackle, while Toledo transfer Cole Rhett is reportedly moving around various positions, suggesting he may be competing for a starting role or filling Sieracki's former role as the sixth lineman.

Woods commented positively on the performances of Rhett and Hale, indicating that both players are improving and gaining valuable experience as they prepare for the season.

Further details about the overall lineup and specific roles for the offensive line are not yet clear as the team finalizes its preparations for the upcoming season opener.
