As the Texans evaluate their roster, several players are considered on the bubble for making the final cut. Among them is running back Noah Whittington, who has shown promise during training camp and preseason with 22 carries for 51 yards. However, he faces competition from a recovering running back group, including Jawhar Jordan and British Brooks, which may limit his chances of securing a spot.
Wide receiver Justin Watson, who missed most of last season due to an Achilles injury, is also vying for a position on the roster. With the injury to teammate Jayden Higgins, Watson’s chances may have improved, but the competition remains fierce within the wide receiver corps.
Another receiver, Jared Wayne, has impressed throughout camp and may have bolstered his case for a roster spot. However, he too faces stiff competition from other depth players, including Lewis Bond and Zay Jones.

On the offensive line, Jake Andrews, who started as center last season, might find himself on the outside looking in due to increased competition from rookie Keylan Rutledge and free agent Evan Brown, both of whom have made strong impressions.
