Von Miller, the NFL's active leader in career sacks, has officially signed a one-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys, marking his return to Texas. Miller, who hails from DeSoto, Texas, approximately 25 minutes south of Dallas, announced the signing via an Instagram post with the phrase, "Hereee Weee Gooo."

Entering his 15th NFL season, Miller is a two-time Super Bowl champion. He played for the Washington Commanders during the 2025 season, where he recorded 26 tackles and nine sacks over 17 games. His previous teams include the Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Rams, and Denver Broncos, the latter of which selected him second overall in the 2011 NFL Draft.

He won his first Super Bowl with the Broncos in 2015 and his second with the Rams in 2021.

Miller boasts a total of 138.5 career sacks, the highest among active players and tied for 13th all-time, alongside Hall of Famer DeMarcus Ware, who also played for the Cowboys. Throughout his career, he has accumulated 607 tackles, 271 quarterback hits, and 27 forced fumbles in 203 games. His accolades include eight Pro Bowl selections and three First Team All-Pro honors.

The Cowboys are set to kick off their 2026 regular season on "Sunday Night Football" against the New York Giants on September 13.
