Health inspectors identified significant pest contamination and food safety violations at several Fort Worth restaurants during a recent inspection cycle. The findings, which include rodent debris and live insects, were compiled from 134 inspections conducted between June 7 and June 20, 2026.
Fort Worth utilizes a demerit-based scoring system for restaurant health inspections, where a score of zero indicates a perfect rating. Establishments that accumulate more than 30 demerits are mandated to immediately address the most critical violations and begin corrective procedures for all other issues within a 48-hour window.
Data from the inspection reports highlights specific locations with severe pest problems. Caleto Bar & Grill, located at 3468 Blue Bonnet Circle, received a score of 23 after inspectors found rodent debris in the kitchen area. The report noted that cheese was stored in close proximity to the rodent contamination.
Three other establishments were cited for cockroach sightings. At Acapulco Restaurant, situated at 1320 NW 25th St., inspectors observed one live roach alongside heavy fly activity, resulting in a score of 20. Birrieria Tres Coronas, located at 50 E. Seminary Drive, received a score of 19 after a dead cockroach was discovered in the corner of a walk-in cooler. Additionally, Bonnell’s Fine Texas Cuisine at 4259 Bryant Irvin Road had a dead roach found near its back door.
Other violations focused on temperature control and cross-contamination risks. Dos Molina’s, at 404 NW 25th St., scored 23 due to multiple findings. Inspectors noted raw beef stored above cooked chicken, improper sanitizer concentration, and several food items including tomatoes, cheese, cooked chicken, and beef held between 48 and 51 degrees.
