Six new or upcoming dining establishments are entering the Dallas-Fort Worth market, ranging from fully opened venues to sites currently under renovation. Fort Worth is located approximately 31 miles west of Dallas.
In Allen, the app-based platform Wonder is preparing to launch a location that will feature dishes from over 20 distinct restaurants. The concept allows customers to combine items from different vendors into a single order. The menu includes collaborative items with chefs like Bobby Flay and restaurants such as Tejas Barbecue, as well as Wonder’s own concepts like Pop Salad. This opening is part of a broader expansion into Texas.
In Richardson, Royal Roastery Express began operations following a grand opening on June 26. The establishment offers coffee, freshly squeezed juices, fruit bowls, pastries, and desserts including Turkish delights and baklava.
McKinney is seeing two new entries. Cafe Brazil, a 24-hour coffeehouse and eatery, has opened in a space previously occupied by Jungle Burger. Owner Lindsay Pultz confirmed the opening, noting that a previous Cafe Brazil location in the city operated from 2005 to 2012 before closing due to highway construction and reduced traffic. The new site will operate on a limited schedule from Sunday through Tuesday for its initial weeks, with full 24-hour hours resuming Wednesday through Saturday. Additionally, Zalat Pizza is scheduled to open its 31st Texas location in McKinney this summer. Founder and CEO Khanh Nguyen described the community as a natural fit due to its growth and food culture.
In Keller, construction on a new First Watch is set to begin July 1, with renovations valued at $900,000. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing indicates the project should be completed by early November. The restaurant will serve breakfast items including sandwiches, hashes, pancakes, waffles, granola bowls, and tacos.
