Houston Astros pitcher Hayden Wesneski delivered a masterful outing on Thursday night at Daikin Park, holding the Chicago White Sox to just one hit over seven innings. For Houston, AJ Blubaugh secured the win by pitching the eighth inning. He allowed two hits and a walk but did not surrender any runs, striking out zero batters in his outing. Josh Hader closed the game with a perfect ninth inning, earning his 22nd save of the season.
Hader retired all three batters he faced, recording one strikeout without allowing a hit or a base on balls.
