Rocker, Rangers Dominate White Sox 10-0 at Globe Life Field

Rocker’s Dominant Start

Kumar Rocker delivered a masterful performance on the mound, pitching six innings without allowing an earned run while striking out six batters. The right-hander allowed just one hit and walked two, earning the win to improve his record to 3-8.

Marco Gonzales closed out the game with a perfect ninth inning, recording two strikeouts and two walks in three frames to secure his first save of the season. Together, the Rangers’ pitching staff held the White Sox hitless after the first inning, finishing with a shutout.

Early Power Surge

The Rangers established control early, loading the bases in the first inning. Nimmo launched a 351-foot home run to left field, driving in Langford to put Texas ahead 2-0. The offense continued to pile on runs in the third inning when Burger doubled to left, scoring Jung to make it 3-0.

The scoring extended into the fourth inning with back-to-back singles. Osuna singled to left to bring in Díaz, followed immediately by Lopez singling to center to score Osuna, pushing the lead to 5-0.

Extended Lead in Fifth

Texas added four more runs in the fifth inning, effectively ending any hope of a White Sox comeback. Osuna singled to right, allowing Duran and Cauley to score. Langford then homered to left (397 feet) with Osuna on base, extending the margin to 9-0. The final run came in the sixth inning when Duran singled to left, scoring Nimmo for a 10-0 advantage.

White Sox Struggles

The White Sox offense was stifled throughout the game. Noah Schultz took the loss after pitching 3.2 innings, allowing 11 hits and five earned runs. Trevor Richards and Tyler Schweitzer also struggled, combining to give up five more earned runs in less than four innings.

Luisangel Acuna pitched the final inning without allowing a hit or run, but it was too little, too late. The Rangers finished with 18 total hits.

The Texas Rangers improved to 51-50, while the Chicago White Sox fell to 53-47. The game was played at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, with an attendance of 26,108.
