An emu named Temu is currently missing after escaping from a property in the Bear Creek neighborhood of Lancaster, Texas. The bird was last spotted near the intersection of Parkerville Road and Interstate 35 earlier this week.

Temu is approximately 15 months old and has reached full physical maturity. His owner, Aleta Cronce, stated that she has contacted local law enforcement and multiple animal welfare organizations to assist in the search. She described spending recent hours walking through nearby fields and wooded areas, but the bird has not been found.

Cronce noted that she hand-raised Temu alongside a female companion, who is now exhibiting signs of distress due to the separation. She expressed deep concern for the animal's well-being while the search continues. Further details regarding the outcome of the search or specific agency involvement were not provided.
