Dallas College Athletics has finalized a multi-year partnership with BSN SPORTS that will make it the first community college in Texas to operate as a NIKE-branded program. The deal positions the institution among a small number of schools aligned with the globally recognized sportswear company.
Under the terms of the agreement, BSN SPORTS, which operates as a division of Varsity Brands, will serve as the exclusive provider of uniforms, apparel, footwear, and equipment for Dallas College Athletics. This support extends across all seven of the college's campuses in North Texas, serving a student population of approximately 130,000.
Lynn Nabi, the executive director of athletics at Dallas College, described the collaboration as a strategic move to elevate the department's profile. She stated that aligning with the NIKE brand is intended to increase visibility and improve the experience for student-athletes while reinforcing the college's goal of competing at the highest level of community college sports.
Todd Northrop, senior vice president of BSN SPORTS collegiate and pro select divisions, expressed enthusiasm about bringing the brand to the college's coaches, athletes, and fans. He noted that Dallas College Athletics has a history of building championship-winning programs and promised that the partnership would deliver high standards in apparel, gear, and customer support.
The agreement aims to ensure consistent access to high-performance gear for all student-athletes across the various sports sponsored by the college. Dallas College Athletics has a documented record of success, including 17 championship teams over the past five years, more than 80 All-American honors, and numerous athletes who have advanced their careers at four-year universities.
