Fifteen individuals were transported to area hospitals following an incident where a Dallas Area Rapid Transit bus entered a depression in the roadway on Thursday morning. The crash occurred in the 6300 block of Harry Hines Boulevard, near Exchange Parkway, after a metal cover shifted and exposed the gap.

Dallas Fire-Rescue reported that seven rescue units and an EMS supervisor responded to the scene. Of those injured, four were taken to Parkland Hospital, four to Baylor Hospital, and seven to Dallas Methodist Hospital. Officials believe all injuries are minor.

DART stated that 18 people were on the bus when the road gave way. While initial reports indicated six passengers refused transport, a later agency release noted that three individuals declined medical attention at the scene. DART officials emphasized that passenger safety is a priority and are cooperating with local police and fire departments on the investigation.
